Environment

I believe responsible stewardship of our land means protecting both the people who call it home and the landscapes that define our state. Utah's forests, rangelands, and public lands face dangers and issues that distant federal offices rarely grasp, and years of mismanagement and inaction have left too many acres overgrown, mismanaged, and vulnerable to catastrophic wildfire and more.

I support proactive forest management and closer coordination with our state and local partners to reduce wildfire risk and protect communities, watersheds, and wildlife habitat. These tools are proven, science-based, and far preferable to watching millions of our acres burn each summer.

Utah's public lands should remain open and accessible for recreation, hunting, grazing, and responsible use, not locked away and mismanaged by distant bureaucrats. By empowering states, standing with our foresters, and prioritizing active management, we can preserve Utah's landscape and pass it on safer, healthier, and more resilient than we found it.
