Economy
Utah has one of the strongest economies in the nation. Our state leads on job creation, entrepreneurship, and economic freedom because Utahns are hardworking, innovative, and trusted to make their own decisions. The best thing the federal government can do for our economy is get out of the way. For too long, Washington has grown bigger while American paychecks have grown smaller. Burdensome regulations, runaway spending, and a tax code that punishes work and investment have made it harder for families to get ahead and for small businesses to compete. I believe the answer isn't more federal programs or another agency in D.C., it's pushing power, dollars, and decisions back to the states, communities, and families who actually live with the consequences.
I'm committed to cutting red tape that strangles small businesses, reining in regulatory agencies that have stretched far beyond their intended purpose, and empowering Utah. A smaller Washington means a stronger Utah. When we trust families to spend their own money, trust businesses to compete on a level playing field, and trust states to govern themselves our economy can thrive. My belief is that when Utah leads, America wins.
