Border Security and Immigration Reform

Border security is national security. The federal government has a clear duty to enforce our laws, secure our borders, and stop the flow of fentanyl, human trafficking, and criminal activity that has devastated communities from Utah to the southern border. At the same time, our legal immigration system is broken, outdated, inefficient, and failing both American workers and those trying to come here the right way.

I support securing the border, ending catch and release, and giving the men and women of law enforcement the tools and backing they need to do their jobs. We also need to modernize legal immigration so it's orderly, lawful, and aligned with the needs of our economy, all while upholding the rule of law that makes this country worth coming to in the first place.

The American people deserve an immigration system that is secure, fair, and puts the safety of our communities first.
