Military Academy Nominations
Congressman Kennedy is honored to nominate Utah’s outstanding young men and women for appointments to the United States Military Service Academies. If you are a Utah student seeking a nomination to the Naval Academy, Air Force Academy, Military Academy at West Point, or Merchant Marine Academy, our office is now accepting applications. (The Coast Guard Academy does not require a congressional nomination.)
Application Process
Before applying for a nomination, you must contact your academy or academies of choice and begin their admissions application process. Students interested in a nomination should begin their application in the spring of their junior year of high school.
To apply for a nomination through our office, complete our online application and submit the following:
- Official High School/College Transcript
- CLT, ACT and/or SAT Scores
- List of 2026-2027 Senior Year Classes (or current college courses)
- Two letters of recommendation
- Preferably one from a STEM teacher, but not required
- Recent Color Photo
Deadline
All application materials must be received or postmarked by October 23, 2027. Late applications will not be considered.
