Rep. Kennedy Joins Rep. Ciscomani’s Congressional Delegation to the U.S. – Mexico Border
WASHINGTON, D.C. – From Thursday, March 6 to Saturday, March 8, 2025, Rep. Kennedy (R-UT-03) will join Rep. Juan Ciscomani (AZ-06) and colleagues on a congressional delegation to the southern border to meet with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Department of Defense (DOD) officials and local stakeholders.
In order to better understand the needs of our law enforcement and how Congress can continue to support the critical mission of securing the southern border, the Members will visit the Nogales Port of Entry, the border wall, and other facilities along the Arizona – Mexico Border.
“The United States border has suffered immensely under the Biden Administration where 6.7 million illegal immigrants crossed into our country at our Southern Border. The effects of this have been felt by every American. Their personal safety, communities, and resources have been put at risk. I am grateful for the opportunity to visit with those on the frontlines to hear about how we can best avoid this moving forward,” said Rep. Kennedy
“House Republicans were elected on the promise to secure the southern border, and that is exactly what we will continue to deliver,” said Rep. Ciscomani. “As Vice Chair of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Homeland Security, I am immensely proud to lead a group of freshman members to the Arizona-Mexico border, where we will hear from law enforcement on the frontline about the challenges they face and the resources they need to keep our communities safe and our border secure.”
